Philips Infraphil 7526 heat lamp
PHILIPS-INFRAPHIL
Partly because of the advanced stage of
internationalisation, Philips survived the
Second World War relatively unharmed.
Then - especially in the 1950s - the
company benefited greatly from the huge
increase in welfare. Radios, televisions,
shavers and refrigerators were sold in
the millions. The range of activities and
products spread further and further - small
household appliances, radar systems,
telephone exchanges, computers, audio-
and video cassette recorders, etc..
Based on the in 1940 developed light bulb
with internal reflector Philips started in 1946 with the production and sale of 'Infraphil'
branded heat lamps. The first type, with type number 7525, was fitted with a white
coloured incandescent lamp, in 1950 followed by the 'Red Infraphil' that was fitted
with a lamp with an integrated red filter as with the Philips Infraphil 7526 heat lamp on
display here. The Infraphil line would be successful for more than half a century with
more than fifty different models, sold world-wide.
