Halogen lamps were improved incandescent lamps.
For therapeutic applications they were used in
tabletop infrared devices like the Philips InfraCare
HP3621 heat lamp on display here, but also in
infrared cabins where both the produced convection
heat and the infrared radiation contributed to the
desired behaviour of the cabin.
