METAL-WIRED-ELEMENTS
Around 1920 the first electric elements for heating and for therapeutic use became
available. Early infrared radiators for therapeutic use were in fact less more than
optimised metal wired electric heaters with a high yield of (for therapeutic use
undesirable) long wave infrared radiation. Distinction between therapeutic infrared
radiators and 'ordinary' heaters is therefore difficult unless there is additional
documentation available like with the Sears-Roebuck Heatmaster on display here.
