the electric diagram of a sunlamp with an impulse circuit
Original Hanau 1500-Impuls sunlamp
the Original Hanau 1500-Impuls sunlamp was designed to be overburdened for a short period of time
SUNLAMP-WITH-IMPULSE-CIRCUIT
In the 1970s and -80s a number of
sunlamp models have been sold under
the type classification "impulse sunlamp".
The main feature of these lamps was the
strongly shortened treatment time. This
was realised by decreasing the serial
ballast for a short period of time, thus
causing the ultraviolet radiation to
intensify strongly. The discharge tube
was able to withstand this overburdening
for only a few or at most ten seconds and
the control was therefore done by
manually triggered automatic pulse
switches as with the Original Hanau
1500-Impuls sunlamp on display here.
