SUN-AND-HEAT-LAMP-COMBINATION
Apart from ultraviolet radiation, a carbon arc- or a
gas discharge ultraviolet radiator also produced light
and infrared radiation but comparatively less then
the sun itself. For that reason an ultraviolet radiator
was sometimes accompanied by an additional light-
and infrared source in order to obtain a better
approximation of natural sunlight and to provide
some comfort during treatment. An example of such
a combination are the Original Hanau S300 sunlamp
and the Original Hanau Sollux Mittel heat lamp on
display here. In this combination, both the infrared
and the ultraviolet device could be used individually
or simultaneously.
